The Westend Theatre was opened January 24, 1952, and was showing sub-run double features, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal of April 17, 1960. At that time it evidently played the same double feature as the Cozy Theatre, according to their shared advertisement. It was renamed Cinema West on October 11, 1972.
