Spreader calibration - Houzz

Hi all - I'm very concerned that my Scotts Speedy Green 3000 broadcast spreader is scotts speedy green 1000 spreader spring way out of calibration. I can't find any instructions on the Scotts site for calibration. I assume there must be some way to fill the hopper with water, pull the trigger and time how fast the water comes out with a stopwatch - and calibrate from the results.

I found out by cross referencing that the Scotts Speedy Green 1000 and my spreader used the same settings. So I ended up using the recommended setting of 5.5, as listed on the Lesco website for the Scotts Speedy Green 1000, to apply 5.3 lbs/1000ft of pre emergent using my Scotts EdgeGuard Mini.
