Unlike most photographers cashing in on Christmas spirit, however, he was using a vintage Speed Graphic camera — the type, he says, you normally see in the movies — with a Polaroid back.
I ran into NYC icon Louis Mendes, a photographer well known for his old school Speed Graphic camera and sharp retro outfits. Lou takes unique Polaroid portraits and has made a living and a legend out of it.
